Winged Victory, or Nike of Samothrace is a celebrated example of the Hellenistic period. It was crafted from 220-190BC. The statue was discovered in 1863 at Samothrace, Greece and moved to the Louvre Museum in Paris, France the following year where it still occupies a commanding position on the landing of the Daru staircase.
This plaster reproduction captures the famed detail and grace of the original, in a smaller size.
